Activision needs to learn that GH got it's start on a Sony console (under Harmonix, rightfully so). And I can only imagine the song and dance it took for them to sell Sony on this game. New, untested genre of game with a then-hefty price tag and a big ugly plastic guitar?
So, numerous versions later, the game is essentially the same. Just more instruments and more artist's backing.
Brutally speaking, every GH version bought is basically a full-price expansion ...
and his own website. Apparently neither worked out very well for him. And now he has to try to sneak in gaming topics on a stock analysis website.
Good to see he's been knocked down a peg or three.
...listen Sony, it's good that GOW3 will be awesome and all, but please knock off the bullsh!t, it's making you look bad.
............
It's fairly believeable, but then again I've never felt compelled to stick a remote up my ass in a fit of rage.
....after watching some of those videos, I almost feel bad for the guy. Of course he has nothing better to do than write garbage, because he doesn't even get respect on his own show.
I bet he got passed around like currency in high school, being bullied by the likes of the chess club and the male cheerleaders.
EDIT: Holy Sh*t, this guy sucks so bad even Howard Stern noticed.
Can only hope that Jonah Falcon gets banished to the open zone with the other failures of humanity.
....despite being an Xbox-oriented site, they always got a good article once in a while patting the backs of their competition as well.
We need more sites like this..period.
.....and after 7 hours of play, nothing really memorable whatsoever. It's still a repackaged Hulk: Ultimate Destruction game, except with a new story featuring YET ANOTHER brooding emo "anti-hero", yeah, we've never seen that before.
Towards the end, there was a couple twists here and there that kept the story mildly interesting, but it left a lot of holes too. What happened to his sister and the doctor? There's more to play after the credits roll, saying "It'...
....two franchises that are long in the tooth and asking to be put down.
CoD has been an obsessive-compulsive FPS player's orgasm machine for the last three sequels. CoD players don't really financially support gaming as much because that's the ONLY game they play.
And Guitar Hero has been virtually unchanged from the get-go. Not to mention it got it's start on the PS2, and I can only imagine how hard of a sell it was at first. Now it's approaching it's 5th se...
That has to be the lamest Playboy spread I've ever seen.
That's like going to a nude beach in a hoodie and khakis. If you're not gonna gonna bare it all, you have no business being in Playboy, much less the f*cking cover.
$250 is WAY too much to justify spending on a handheld system that's been out for five years.
The screen is smaller, and isn't compatible with it's own format, I mean how long would it take to release EVERY available game on the PSP for download? And for full price no less when the nearest game store has them used for dirt cheap on most titles.
Sony did this for two reasons: Combat the rampant piracy and find a way to justify killing off the UMD format.
...
....and will probably continue well into the 2010s, filled with the wailing and whining voices of those who just can't let go of what could've been.
Even AotS got over it, even after that d!ck move they pulled with that ridiculous HD-DVD funeral.
But not good enough, proprietary or not charging out the ass for a 60 or 120GB HDD in this day and age is unacceptable.
I gotta agree that there's some great games out there that really make you feel for the person you're in control of.
One game that I personally felt did this the best was FF8. Games don't always have to be mindless to be a great experience.
A lot of RPGs either win big or lose big in this department. I recently stopped playing Cross Edge because I stopped caring about it, and all the annoying little characters in it had the personality of skid-marked boxers. W...
I think in reality there's only a handful of 360 games that are truly rendered in 1080P, the rest is upscaling.
Same with the PS3 too. MGS4 runs on my tv as 1080p, but that doesn't make it RENDERED in 1080p.
Oh damn, yep, looks like you got me. I'm sitting here so butthurt I don't know what to do with myself.
F*ckin' fanboys.
And the fact that you're being a douche is my opinion...along with the other 19 people who have ignored you in your ever-so-short time here on N4G.
And given your comment history, there's more where it came from.
And another one of your bubbles bites the dust for that lame-ass fanboy comment.
Take it to the open zone if you wanna purposely be a douche.
I'll probably get a Qore sub this year because if they're gonna hand out a couple free games, coupled with exclusive demos and betas here and there, they're making it worth the $25 for the year, because after the free games alone you've pretty much broke even.
And Pulse is awesome because it's basically a 5 minute summary of whats up without sitting through filler, and Christina Lee is smokin.
....I'm also worried that with it being the first generation of PS3's what will happen if it conks out (it's happened once already). I'm willing to bet that there's no more 60GB boards in the Sony warehouse.
I guess the best thing I can do is speculate the following:
Other OS isn't a huge deal, I set aside 10GB for it a while back and have done nothing with it.
With it being that small, they're definitely going the external power supply route, exp...
